Hearing for Humanity Project

Summary & Objectives

Hearing For Humanity represents a sustained effort to provide hearing impaired children and adults in Malawi, Kenya and (eventually) other African countries, with long-term service so they can carry out normal life activities. This project, initiated in July of 2010, is being carried out through the collaboration of a clinical professor from Arizona State University, Dr. Ingrid McBride, her graduate students, and Sustainable Resources, Ltd. Their efforts are made possible through their own personal expenses as well as donations of equipment and materials from companies that specialize in hearing aid and/or related services. Furthermore, some very important equipment is provided, on loan basis, by the Speech and Hearing clinic at ASU.
